Armata Pharmaceuticals (NYSE American: ARMP) has secured $3.7 million in non-dilutive funding from the U.S. Department of War to begin execution of the Phase 3 clinical program for AP-SA02.
This initial tranche brings the total federal support for the bacteriophage candidate to approximately $32.4 million.
The next confirmable milestone is the initiation of the Phase 3 superiority study, which the company anticipates will commence in the second half of 2026.
The new funding is the first specifically allocated for Phase 3 activities under a previously announced award from the Medical Technology Enterprise Consortium.
