Former President Joe Biden paused and appeared to seek directions before exiting the stage at the Maryland Democratic Party's "Fight Back & Win Gala" near Baltimore on Saturday, pointing in two different directions before receiving guidance and walking off with his back to the audience.
The incident followed a roughly 10-minute keynote address in which Biden sharply criticized the Trump administration, and is the second widely noted onstage moment involving the 83-year-old former president in as many days.
What Happened at the Baltimore Gala After concluding his remarks at the event, Biden stopped at the edge of the stage and looked toward the wings, then pointed first one way, then the other, before someone directed him offstage.
Unlike several other speakers at the gala who exited on the opposite side of the stage following their remarks, Biden departed in a different direction, walking away from the audience.
