Round-the-clock weekday access to US stocks has arrived for UK users on Coinbase (COIN), a product the exchange's UK chief ties to the company's self-labeled "Everything Exchange" strategy.
Coinbase UK CEO Keith Grose said the launch is part of a broader effort to bring traditional and onchain finance together on a single platform. Where the offering goes from the UK is the setup's next open question.
The product itself The service gives UK-based Coinbase users the ability to trade US equities on a 24-hours-a-day, five-days-a-week schedule.
That format removes the constraint of US market hours for UK retail investors, who otherwise face a compressed trading window given the time-zone gap. Coinbase's existing crypto infrastructure underpins the venue.
