DNC enters midterm stretch $2.2 million in the hole as RNC holds $128.5 million cash advantage

Federal Election Commission filings put the Democratic National Committee's balance sheet in focus with 100 days remaining before the midterm elections.

The committee ended June with $16.3 million in cash against $18.5 million in debts, a $2.2 million shortfall.

The Republican National Committee, by comparison, reported approximately $128.5 million on hand and no outstanding debt. The committee cash gap The disparity runs deeper than the national committees.

The National Republican Congressional Committee ended June at $92.7 million against $79 million for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, according to Axios.
