In the second quarter of Saturday's WNBA All-Star Game, Seattle Storm center Dominique Malonga caught a feed from Atlanta Dream star Angel Reese and threw down a dunk, becoming the youngest player in the event's history to record one.
The WNBA confirmed the designation: Malonga is 20 years old. Per the Storm, she is the seventh player in league history to dunk in an All-Star Game and the first to do so since WNBA legend Sylvia Fowles in 2022.
The record print Malonga is 6-foot-6 and in her sophomore season with Seattle, currently averaging 16.3 points and 8.5 rebounds per game.
The Fowles reference sets the gap: four years separated the 2022 All-Star slam from Saturday's. Malonga's age at the moment of the dunk is now a standalone entry in the record books, independent of anything that follows.
