Counterterrorism officers in Scotland are investigating an alleged anti-Muslim attack in Edinburgh that left five men injured Friday night, after a 36-year-old Scottish man was arrested following a fast-moving sequence of assaults across the city.
The suspect has been in custody since approximately 9:30 p.m. None of the victims, who range in age from 22 to 39, sustained life-threatening injuries.
Sequence of Events Across Edinburgh The first attacks occurred just before 9 p.m. near a mosque in Edinburgh, where two men were injured.
The suspect then allegedly assaulted three additional men in a separate area of the city. Three of the five victims were taken to hospital.
