Former White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told Sean Hannity that several reporters privately apologized for asking questions they admitted were unfair.
The comments came during a discussion on the performative nature of press briefings, where Leavitt argued that journalists are often controlled by their editors and executives.
She stated that some reporters told her, "I'm sorry I had to ask that today.
My bosses really wanted me to ask that, they know it's an unfair question." The Control of the Newsroom Leavitt contends that the pressure comes from the top of major news organizations.
