In focus: Microchip Technology (MCHP, Nasdaq) is losing its chief operating officer.

Simoncic notified the company on July 23, 2026 that he is resigning to become chief executive officer of Menlo Microsystems, Inc., a private company based in Irvine, California, with his departure effective August 17, 2026.

Microchip Technology disclosed the change in a Form 8-K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on July 24, 2026.

The move out of the COO seat Simoncic's effective date lands roughly three weeks after his notification.
