M&T Bank Corporation (NYSE: MTB) updated its Medium-Term Note Program on September 22, 2026, enabling the issuance of Senior Medium-Term Notes, Series C, and Subordinated Medium-Term Notes, Series D.
The bank filed the change with the SEC to maintain a flexible framework for accessing capital markets. The next milestone is the potential issuance of these new tranches under the refreshed terms.

The Series C Notes will be issued under the Senior Indenture, originally dated May 24, 2007, and supplemented in August 2022. The Series D Notes fall under a separate Subordinated Indenture dated September 22, 2023.
