A $100 million investment from Nasdaq (NDAQ) into Kraken's parent company is the exchange operator's most direct declaration that tokenization of stocks and other assets is moving from concept into what Nasdaq calls the plumbing of the stock market.
The deal targets a 2027 launch of tokenized stock trading. The check size signals infrastructure investment rather than a product trial.
The operational logic is that market infrastructure is acquiring a new layer and Nasdaq is buying into the build.
