In focus for $LINK and $ETH: Nethermind, the Ethereum engineering firm, is leaving its LayerZero verifier position and joining Chainlink as a node operator.
The firm said it will help secure Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol, known as CCIP, alongside Data Feeds. What the move supplies is an operator reallocation.
Nethermind held a verifier seat in the LayerZero ecosystem and is exiting that role to commit capacity to Chainlink's infrastructure layer.
No financial terms were announced and no date was given for when the node goes live. For the $LINK setup, the read is the operator's pedigree, not the announcement language.
