SEC Set to Advance Crypto Rules as OCC Clears Path for Crypto Banks

The Securities and Exchange Commission may introduce two cryptocurrency initiatives on Friday, including rules that touch 24/7 trading, even as a Senate vote on the Clarity Act risks sliding past the August recess.

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, meanwhile, opened the door for bitcoin and cryptocurrency firms to operate as banks.
