Her testimony followed a hearing on opportunity for female athletes, where she detailed the impact of a specific loss in the Minnesota state tournament.
Cunningham stated that her team lost in the semifinals because the opposing team fielded a male pitcher on a girls' team. That team went on to win the girls' high school state championship.
She reported that the player's parents had changed his legal documents to reflect the opposite sex when he was a young boy.
