Pintoff, Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of United Rentals (NYSE: URI), joined the Board of Directors of The TJX Companies (NYSE: TJX) on September 16, 2026, also taking a seat on the company's Audit and Finance Committee, effective immediately.
Pintoff, 56, has held his current role at URI since 2017 and joined the company in 2003, working through several senior leadership positions before his present title.
The appointment places an operator with long institutional tenure at a global equipment rental company into TJX's boardroom.
At URI, Pintoff leads human resources, legal, safety, and environmental functions, a portfolio that spans workforce management alongside the legal and compliance responsibilities that accompany a globally distributed operation.
