Trump signals 301 probe and tariff threat over EU fines on AMZN and American tech peers

A White House move to launch a Section 301 trade investigation has put Amazon (AMZN), Apple, Meta, and Google at the center of a transatlantic regulatory standoff.

President Trump, citing what he described as discriminatory treatment of American technology companies by the European Union, said his administration intends to pursue a formal probe.
