Uber filed an amended beneficial ownership statement on July 8, 2026, explicitly stating it is not engaged in discussions to seek control of Grab.
The filing was signed by Elizabeth Coleman, Uber's Vice President and Deputy General Counsel, following the resignation of Dara Khosrowshahi from Grab's board of directors, which took effect on July 6, 2026.
Uber holds approximately 13.5% of Grab, a position originating from a 2018 transaction in which Uber sold its Southeast Asia ride-hailing business for equity.
The amended filing confirms that Uber has not executed any other transactions in Grab shares during the preceding 60 days.
