Westchester residents complain of helicopter noise from Hamptons trips

Homeowners in Westchester County report that low-flying helicopters are disrupting their daily lives as ultra-wealthy travelers head to the Hamptons, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal.

The noise complaints are concentrated in communities along the Sound Shore, including Larchmont and Mamaroneck, particularly during warmer months when demand for the eastern Long Island getaway peaks.

The Journal noted that the dispute highlights a tension between residents who own seven-figure homes and those who utilize private air transport for the journey.

Jay Davis, a realtor and attorney residing in Larchmont, told the Journal that the aircraft interrupt television viewing and conversations at his home.
