Binance has secured a $100 million equity position in Circle, the issuer of the USDC stablecoin, through a private placement that closed on September 17.
The transaction involves 1,237,011 Class A common shares purchased at $80.84 per unit, a price that sat below Circle's market value at the time of the sale.
The deal is paired with a new five-year commercial agreement that replaces prior arrangements dated November 2024 and August 2025.
