Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin stated on the "Ruthless Podcast" that 2,210 terrorists have been apprehended under the Trump administration.
The secretary provided the figure during an exclusive interview released Thursday morning, describing the arrests as part of an aggressive approach to illegal immigration.
Mullin said, "Underneath President Trump, we’ve arrested, so far as my numbers walking into here, 2,210 terrorists in this country." He added that most of these individuals had claimed asylum using fake names and that the Biden administration had previously released them.
Mullin claimed that under the previous administration, 97% of individuals encountered by the Department of Homeland Security were released within 27 hours.
