Siri is in focus after Virginia, an 82-year-old from Concord, Massachusetts, used Apple's ($AAPL) voice assistant to place a call to American Express ($AXP) and instead reached a fraudulent number that escalated to a $100,000 transfer demand on her Bank of America ($BAC) account.
Virginia froze her account before the transfer completed.
The Better Business Bureau has documented similar cases involving Siri and other voice assistants, and the incident arrives as Apple navigates a separate $250 million Siri settlement.
