USC head coach Lincoln Riley suspended linebacker Desman Stephens for one game following a late hit on Oregon quarterback Dante Moore during Saturday's match.
The Trojans lost the contest 20-41 to the Oregon Ducks, with the incident occurring in the second quarter.
Moore was scrambling for additional yardage and appeared to be sliding when Stephens made contact directly with his head. The junior was ejected from the game for targeting, and Moore was stretchered off the field.
Riley announced the suspension on Sunday, stating that Stephens' actions were unacceptable and did not reflect USC Football or the player's personal character.
