Revolut has begun a phased rollout of EURR, a Euro-pegged stablecoin designed to hold a value of €1.00, starting with eligible customers in Denmark, Poland, and Portugal. The company confirmed the launch via a LinkedIn post, noting that the token is intended to provide a euro-based payment option without exposing users to US dollar currency risk.

The token is issued by Bridge Building, a MiCA-registered crypto-asset service provider that operates as a subsidiary of Stripe’s stablecoin infrastructure division. Revolut will offer EURR through its Revolut Digital Assets Europe entity. The asset is classified as an e-money token and is built to function across supported blockchain networks, external wallets, and crypto services within the Revolut ecosystem.

According to Bloomberg, Revolut intends to expand access to EURR across other European Economic Area markets later this year. Once integrated into the main Revolut application, the stablecoin will allow users to convert between fiat euros and crypto assets on-chain. The company states that its app currently serves more than 80 million customers across over 40 markets, providing services that include payments and cryptocurrency trading.

The move places Revolut in a growing segment of financial institutions adopting digital currencies for transfers. Other major players in the payments space have recently announced or launched similar initiatives. Visa and Klarna Group have both outlined stablecoin projects, while Western Union introduced USDPT, a US dollar-denominated payment stablecoin, earlier this year. The launch of EURR adds a regional currency alternative to these existing dollar-based or multi-currency efforts.
