Bank of America raises 2026 Brent crude forecast to $95

Bank of America has lifted its Brent crude oil price forecast for the second half of 2026 to $95 per barrel, up from a previous estimate of $83. The bank attributes this upward revision to the expectation that geopolitical tensions in the Middle East will persist through the end of the year.

Bank of America has lifted its Brent crude oil price forecast for the second half of 2026 to $95 per barrel, up from a previous estimate of $83. The bank attributes this upward revision to the expectation that geopolitical tensions in the Middle East will persist through the end of the year.

Despite the adoption of alternative shipping routes and escorted shipments, disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz continue to depress volumes by 4 to 8 million barrels per day below pre-war levels. Looking further ahead, Bank of America projects Brent crude will average $80 per barrel in 2027. However, the bank warns that prolonged supply disruptions could push front-month prices above $150.
