The trio consists of sisters Ellie, Lily, and Powell Balkcom. Over the past couple of years, they have built a loyal following with a sound that blends Americana, neo-traditional country, bluegrass, and old-school influences. This stylistic approach has been described as a refreshing change from the pop country that dominated the genre for years.
Lily Balkcom also posted a photo dump on her personal Instagram account on Wednesday, generating buzz among country music fans. The Castellows first gained major attention in 2024 with the release of "A Little Goes A Long Way." They followed that with "Alabama Stone" later in 2024 and released "Homecoming" in 2025. Most recently, the group released the song "Way Things Work" in collaboration with Keller Cox.
It is not possible to say with 100% certainty that a new project is currently being engineered, but the studio setting and caption point toward ongoing creative work.
