Chad Lowe mourns 13-year-old daughter Fiona in family statement

Actor Chad Lowe and his family have announced the death of his 13-year-old daughter, Fiona, in a statement provided to Page Six on Tuesday. The family described the teenager as the "light of our lives" and asked for privacy during this difficult time.

"We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona," the statement read. "She was a loving young girl who was smart, creative and loved to dance." The family noted that Fiona was adored by her sisters and deeply loved by her parents. They concluded by requesting prayers and privacy, while encouraging anyone struggling with mental health to contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Lowe, 58, shares Fiona with his wife, producer Kim Painter. The couple also has two other daughters: Mabel, 17, and Nixie, 10. Lowe is the younger brother of actor Rob Lowe, 62. Fiona recently celebrated her 13th birthday in November 2025. To mark the occasion, Lowe posted an Instagram tribute featuring a photo of his daughter smiling in cowboy boots. He wrote, "Celebrating Fiona officially becoming a teen today!!" and added, "Keep dancing through life FiBear! Love you soooo much!!"

Earlier in 2025, the family navigated the aftermath of the Pacific Palisades fire, which destroyed their childhood home. In February 2025, Lowe shared photos of Fiona and her sisters visiting the remains of the property. He described their response to the devastation as "nothing short of remarkable," stating, "I am in awe of their spirit and resilience." Lowe said that helping his daughters through the aftermath was his "sole purpose," adding that being their father is his "life’s greatest joy and privilege."

Lowe has previously discussed how raising three daughters has influenced his worldview. On a 2024 episode of the "Still Here Hollywood" podcast, he described fatherhood as a privilege and said having daughters caused him to view the world "from their perspective." Fiona is survived by her parents and her sisters, Mabel and Nixie.
