Hayley Williams responds to DHS with vulgar tirade after agency defends ICE
Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams posted a profanity-laced insult to the Department of Homeland Security on Monday, reacting to an agency statement that defended federal immigration officers. The exchange followed Williams' recent on-stage criticism of Immigration and Customs Enforcement during a concert in Chula Vista, California.
Williams shared a screenshot of the DHS statement on her Instagram Story, accompanied by the message: "And may I suggest all Nazi bitches suck on my fat dick," according to Rolling Stone. The agency's spokesperson had previously told Fox News Digital that America is grateful for federal law enforcement officers who keep the public safe. "We suggest Ms. Williams to thank them for their service, not belittle their sacrifice," the spokesperson said.
The confrontation stems from Williams' performance of the song "Ice in My OJ," during which she paused to deliver an anti-ICE declaration. She also shouted a separate message supporting Palestinians, saying, "Free motherfucking Palestine!" These remarks are part of a broader pattern of political statements Williams has incorporated into her solo tour, including criticism of President Donald Trump and Christian nationalism.
In September, Williams addressed an audience at Forest Hills Stadium in New York before performing "True Believer." "The greatest threat to American democracy is Christian nationalism," she said at the time. Lisa Cusack, president of the Don't L.A. My Burbank PAC, disputed that characterization in a statement to Fox News Digital. Cusack argued that Christianity played a central role in shaping democratic principles, stating that there would be no natural law or human rights beyond government power without it.
DHS reported a significant rise in violence against its personnel, which the agency cited in defending its officers. According to DHS data, the agency recorded 647 assaults against ICE personnel between Jan. 20, 2025, and Sept. 20, 2026. This compares with 37 assaults during the corresponding period from Jan. 20, 2021, through Sept. 20, 2022, representing a 1,649% increase. DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin previously addressed this data, stating that ICE officers are under attack daily while enforcing laws mandated by Congress.
Fox News Digital reached out to DHS regarding Williams' latest comments but did not immediately receive a response.
