Patel, 38, has served as Quantum’s Chief Accounting Officer and Principal Accounting Officer since September 1, 2026. Before joining Quantum, she held the title of Chief Accounting Officer at Pep Boys, an automotive service and retail firm, for a period spanning October 2025 to June 2026. Her tenure at IKEA Retail, the global home furnishing division of IKEA, ran from March 2024 to October 2025, during which she served as Vice President and Controller. Earlier in her career, Patel occupied roles as Senior Director of Accounting and Corporate Assistant Controller at VeriFone Systems Inc. between September 2020 and March 2024. She began her professional path as an Assurance Senior Manager at Ernst & Young LLP from October 2011 to August 2020. She is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Temple University. Quantum reported that there is no arrangement or understanding with any other person regarding Patel’s selection and that no transactions exist between Patel and the company that would require reporting under Item 404(a) of Regulation S-K.
The leadership transition follows the appointment of James C. Clancy as Chief Operating Officer on September 28, 2026. Clancy voluntarily resigned from the Board of Directors, the Audit Committee, and the Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee effective September 28, 2026. On October 9, 2026, the board appointed independent director Yue Zhou White to the Audit Committee and independent director Donald J. Jaworski to the Nominating Committee, both effective immediately.
In its filing, Quantum noted that it is early in its financial closing process for the fiscal quarter ended September 30, 2026. The company currently expects to meet or exceed its previously issued guidance for that quarter, based on information available to management as of the report date. This expectation remains subject to the completion of financial closing procedures and review by its independent registered public accounting firm. The company cautioned that forward-looking statements are subject to risks and uncertainties, including macroeconomic conditions, supply chain disruptions, competitive pressures, and internal control challenges.
