Total Nonstop Action Wrestling has terminated its association with pro wrestler Max Caster following an on-air reference to the deadly attack at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The incident occurred during Caster's ring entrance at the company's Bound for Glory pay-per-view event, which also featured multiple championship changes, including the world title in the main event.
Caster, making his TNA debut in a match against Moose after a previous run with All Elite Wrestling, performed a rap song as part of his entrance routine. In one lyric, he referenced the weekend attack that left more than a dozen people dead. The Iran-backed Houthis have claimed responsibility for the incident, an event that raised tensions in the Middle East. Caster's specific line stated, "And it's the firing squad. I drop bombs. You don't even have to fly to Riyadh."
The remarks triggered immediate backlash on social media. In response, TNA issued a statement on Monday confirming that it had deleted all content related to Caster from its social media channels and would no longer welcome him at the company. The statement acknowledged that insensitive comments were made during Sunday's show referencing attacks in Riyadh that killed and injured many people. TNA stated that making light of violent attacks is wrong and accepted responsibility for the segment airing on the show.
"Our thoughts are with the victims, their families and everyone affected," the company said. "We sincerely apologize." TNA confirmed it removed the segment from replays and social channels and is taking steps to prevent similar incidents in the future. The company concluded its statement by announcing that Max Caster will no longer be wrestling in TNA. OutKick Dropkick reached out to Caster for comment.
